Weight, Metabolic Health & Blood Sugar

Weight, metabolic health and blood sugar

For when the weight will not shift, and it is not for lack of trying.

This is for people whose weight won't shift no matter what they try, who've had a prediabetic result or signs of insulin resistance, or who carry years of dieting history or a complicated relationship with food and their body. It is very rarely a willpower problem. It is usually a body stuck in stress, riding a blood-sugar rollercoaster, with hormones — including perimenopause — liver enzymes, sleep, and anxiety all playing their part. Sometimes it's less about what you eat, and more about when — and a mental health or stress load that's been carried quietly for too long. The way back is not another restrictive diet. It is looking beneath the surface, and swapping, gently, towards what nourishes you — without restriction, without shame.

    The Reality

    You might recognise

    • Weight that will not move, however hard you try
    • A prediabetic result, or early signs of insulin resistance, from your GP
    • Energy crashes, cravings, and the 3pm slump
    • Eating well "on paper" and still feeling stuck
    • Years of dieting, or a complicated relationship with food and your body
    • Anxiety, stress, or a mental load that seems tangled up with your eating or your energy
    • Sleep that's been off for a while, without realising it's connected to any of this
    The Approach

    How the work looks

We start with the foundations, sleep, stress and steady blood sugar, before we ever touch a diet. The work may draw on naturopathic and lifestyle support, gentle food swaps rather than restriction, and counselling for the emotional eating underneath. Swap, don’t stop. This is a long game, not a boot camp, and we treat it like one, always alongside your medical care and your GP’s guidance on any results.

"I never give clients a list of things to give up. We swap, don't stop. Anything extreme is not sustainable, and health is a long game."
