HOLISTIC REMEDIES
Illness to Wellness

Welcome to Holistic Remedies
I am Raji Samprathi, an experienced naturopath and have been in practice for over a decade. I am passionate about understanding you as a whole person, taking into consideration a range of factors that impact your health – lifestyle, sleep, diet, mental and emotional wellbeing, social and family connections and spiritual influences.
Lifestyle Medicine can help prevent and reverse chronic and lifestyle-related diseases by modifying behavioural, social and environmental drivers. Lifestyle Medicine is empowering and this is what my practice is all about – educating and helping you change the trajectory of your health journey. I will tailor an approach that will support and empower you to navigate your way from illness to wellness.
I am committed to bringing a holistic lens to my practice and for this reason alone chose to go back to university to study counselling. Understanding how biology interacts with psychology can be a game changer to achieve improved health outcomes. While I offer both naturopathic and counselling appointments separately, I bring insight and knowledge from both modalities into each consultation.
Each patient carries his own doctor within.
They come to us knowing the truth.
We are at our best when we allow the doctor who resides within each patient a chance to go work.

You will be required to complete a health appraisal questionnaire before the appointment and bring any copies of your recent blood test reports on your first visit (if available).
Your treatment plan will generally include interventions for the short-term to alleviate any distressing symptoms and so that you start feeling better soon and will include strategies and recommendation for long term health benefits. I reached out to Raji for help when I had really bad dry cough for many days and had not slept for few nights in a row.
The herbal medicine helped address my dry cough straightaway. She also gave me some supplements to boost my immunity and I felt better within a couple of days
I am incredibly grateful for my naturopath Raji, for her exceptional guidance in managing my sudden spike in blood sugar levels. She’s in Canberra and I’m in Mumbai but it seemed like she was right besides me helping me with her comprehensive and personalized approach which has made a tremendous difference in my health and well-being. In a short span of 2 weeks helped me stabilize FBS/ PPBS from 537/403 to 182/151.

Mindfulness and Meditation
Mindfulness is the practice of paying gentle attention to the present moment—just as it is, without judgment.
In my sessions, I guide clients to become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations with curiosity and kindness. This can be especially helpful when dealing with stress, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed.
As a trained mindfulness and meditation teacher, I weave these practices into my work. Most counselling sessions end with a short guided meditation to help clients ground themselves and leave feeling calmer and more centred. I also provide simple tools and techniques so clients can begin building their own regular mindfulness practice at home. Over time, many notice a shift—increased clarity, better stress management, and a deeper sense of calm.

Lifestyle Medicine
Lifestyle Medicine is an evidence-based approach that uses simple, everyday habits to prevent, manage, and even reverse many chronic health conditions.
It focuses on six key areas that deeply impact our wellbeing: nutrition, sleep, physical activity, emotional wellbeing, relationships, and reducing harmful substances. Rather than just managing symptoms, Lifestyle Medicine helps uncover and address the root causes of illness—supporting long-term, sustainable change.
As a Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner (accreditation under way), I work closely with clients to explore what’s happening in their day-to-day lives. For example, someone may be experiencing fatigue and low mood, and together we might discover that poor sleep, emotional stress, and irregular meals are playing a role. Another client might come in with high blood sugar levels, and through gentle lifestyle shifts—like improving food choices and incorporating mindful movement—we work toward better health. I also use motivational interviewing to help clients connect with their own values and strengths, making it easier to take meaningful steps toward a healthier, more balanced life.
Lifestyle Medicine naturally blends into my work as a counsellor, naturopath, and mindfulness teacher. Whether I am addressing anxiety, burnout, or physical symptoms like hormonal imbalances or digestive issues, the body and mind are always connected. This whole-person approach allows me to work on multiple levels—emotional, physical, and behavioural—so clients feel supported in a way that is both practical and compassionate.

About Raji
Naturopath + Counsellor + Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner
My interest in health, healing, and the mind-body connection began early—in my mother and great grandmother’s kitchen in India.
My great grandmother practised Ayurveda well into her 80s, and my father was a GP. I grew up surrounded by the wisdom of food as medicine, daily self-care rituals, and spiritual practices like meditation and mindfulness. These early influences laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for holistic health and wellbeing.
After moving to Australia, I felt a deep calling to explore natural and integrative approaches to health. I trained in Naturopathy at the Canberra Institute of Technology, and since then I’ve been supporting clients through a range of physical health concerns—hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, fatigue, skin conditions, and metabolic health. Over the years, I’ve come to understand that lasting health is not just about treating symptoms, but about supporting the whole person—physically, emotionally, and mentally. This led me to deepen my training in counselling and mindfulness, and now I integrate these elements into my naturopathic care.
My approach is gentle, individualised, and grounded in the principles of Lifestyle Medicine. I work collaboratively with clients to uncover root causes and create practical, sustainable strategies that support long-term wellbeing. Whether you’re dealing with persistent health concerns or simply want to feel more balanced, energised, and well in your body, I provide support that bridges the gap between physical care and emotional wellbeing—treating the person, not just the condition.
