HOLISTIC REMEDIES

Illness to Wellness

Mind Body Soul

Welcome to Holistic Remedies

I am Raji Samprathi, an experienced naturopath and have been in practice for over a decade. I am passionate about understanding you as a whole person, taking into consideration a range of factors that impact your health – lifestyle, sleep, diet, mental and emotional wellbeing, social and family connections and spiritual influences.

Lifestyle Medicine can help prevent and reverse chronic and lifestyle-related diseases by modifying behavioural, social and environmental drivers. Lifestyle Medicine is empowering and this is what my practice is all about – educating and helping you change the trajectory of your health journey. I will tailor an approach that will support and empower you to navigate your way from illness to wellness.

I am committed to bringing a holistic lens to my practice and for this reason alone chose to go back to university to study counselling. Understanding how biology interacts with psychology can be a game changer to achieve improved health outcomes. While I offer both naturopathic and counselling appointments separately, I bring insight and knowledge from both modalities into each consultation.

Each patient carries his own doctor within.
They come to us knowing the truth.
We are at our best when we allow the doctor who resides within each patient a chance to go work.

-Albert Schweitzer

 About Raji

Naturopath + Nutritionist + Mental Health Educator + Counsellor

My interest in health, healing and cooking began at a very young age – in my mother and great grandmother’s kitchen in India.  My great grandmother practiced Ayurveda until her mid-80s and my father was a practicing GP, laying the foundation for my foray into natural medicine. Food is Medicine was the mantra in my house. The ancient Ayurvedic traditions of daily self-care, including spiritual practices such as meditation and mindfulness, were an integral part of my growing up years. I also learnt how western medicine was used alongside ancient treatment methods to restore wellness.

My innate passion for food, health and medicine came to the fore after I moved to Australia. I felt a deep urge to delve deeper into health and healing and that led me to study Naturopathy at the Canberra Institute of Technology. What I learnt after being in practice for a few years is that best health outcomes are achieved when there is clarity around how psychology (mind) interacts with biology (the body) or vice versa. Being able to help clients navigate through their health journey is a skill. I chose to go back to university to gain skills in counselling and now I am able to bring insight and knowledge from both modalities (naturopathy and counselling) into every interaction with a client – treating the person not the illness.

If you are looking to improve your overall health and wellbeing, feel more energised, positive and enthusiastic about engaging fully with the tapestry of life then I maybe able to help you.
